Utilities Energy Efficiency Programs, Continuous Energy Improvement and a Few Petroleum Specifics

PG&E

Since 1976, PG&E Energy Efficiency program have:

  • Saved more than 134 million megawatt-hours and 11.1 billion therms from installed measures (cumulative lifecycle savings)

  • Saved enough annual electricity to power over 20 million homes and enough annual natural gas to eat 22 million homes

  • Helped California avoid building 24 large power plants

  • saved customers over $22 billion

  • Kept over 135 millions tones of CO2 out of the atmosphere, based on combined electrical and natural gas cumulative lifecycle savings

  • Energy Efficiency Programs have helped keep our per capita electricity consumption in California flat since 1976.

Our presentation will explore some of these areas, the Utilities Energy efficiency Programs, Continuous Energy Improvement and focus on a few Petroleum Industry specifics.
